Job Description

Job Summary:
The Business Services Manager’s (BSM) primary role is to manage the business flow between sales, customer service and operations. This individual will be highly knowledgeable and experienced in the maintenance product industry as well as janitorial product distribution. Key responsibilities will include providing knowledgeable industry specific answers to questions, solve problems, set clear expectations for deliverables, and deliver pro-active customer service.

Essential Duties:
  • Elevate the effectiveness of the sales and customer service departments with deep industry knowledge and experience.
  • Work with sales and customer service teams to grow sales
  • Perform research and provide accurate and timely answers to obscure industry related questions
  • Manage customer order flow between sales department and operations.
  • Prepare public and private bids on time and within budget.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Make both day-to-day and strategic purchasing decisions.
  • Train employees on industry products and services
Other Duties:
  • Work proficiently within company software system.
  • Assist with occasional marketing or accounting projects.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required)
  • Must be proficient with latest MS Windows software (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be a self-starter who proactively seeks out tasks to complete.
  • Must have a natural curiosity to learn new skills and be a tenacious problem solver.
